Tulsa Bicycle Club - Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Feedback Form work? If you click on the Feedback button, the Feedback form displays. Simply enter your email address in the "Email From" box, select the topic of your question from the "Subject" box and enter your question or comment in the "Message" box and click the "Send" button. Based on the Subject you chose, an email will be sent to the appropriate address. Why do I have to mail in an application? Couldn't you just accept credit cards as payment so I could join on-line? We don't accept credit card payments at this time, but we're researching it. We let everyone know if we elect to take membership payments via credit card in the future. What is the Members Only area of this website for? The Members Only area provides all TBC members access to the membership roster and recent issues of The Link, the Clubs monthly newsletter. The Members Only area also provides a way for members to update their personal information (i.e. address, phone numbers, volunteer options, and email addresses) on-line. Who is eligable to use the Members Only area? All TBC members are eligable to use it. Before a member can access it, they must complete the Enrollment Form (click on "Members Only" and fill out the Enrollment Form just below the Login Form). Click here for instructions on how to access and use the Members Only area. You can download the Adobe Acrobat reader for free to view this and other PDF documents on this and other websites. Can I join the Members Only area and get The Link in the mail? Yes. Is getting The Link online the only option in the Members Only area? No, you can update your contact and volunteer information in the Members Only area. Other items may be available in the Members Only area as appropriate. Can the club newsletter, The Link, be printed from the Members Only area? Yes. The newsletter is in PDF format and printing is allowed. You will need a PDF document reader, such as the Adobe Acrobat Reader, to open The Link for printing. You can download the Adobe Acrobat reader for free to view this and other PDF documents on this and other websites. Why are recent issues of The Link kept in the members only area? Access to the most recent issues of The Link is considered a benefit of membership. Non members can view older issues. What if I don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, can I still view and print The Link? Any PDF reader should work. The Adobe Acrobat Reader just happens to be the most frequently used and easily available such program. You can download it for free from the Adobe web site. When I clicked on the entry for this month's version of The Link, nothing happens. It says it is downloading at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes the internet gets too busy or your connection too slow. Try it again at a later time or simply be patient. I made an update to my home phone in the Members Only area. How do I know if the update worked? The information you see when you log in to the Members Only area is taken directly from the TBC database. If you log in and see the information correctly changed, the update worked. What is the TBC Yahoo! Group for? TBC Members are encouraged to join the Club's Yahoo! Group. The Group provides a way for Club members to share information of interest with others in the club and a way for Club leaders to exchange information with members. I joined the Yahoo! Group but sometimes mail received from it is delayed by several days? You may have selected the Digest option when you joined the Group. To change this setting, go to the Group site and click on the Edit Membership link in the upper-left portion of the screen near your name. Select the Individual Email radio button if you'd prefer receiving messages when they are created/sent. Can I get my password reset for the Members Only area? Yes. Below the Log In Form is a "Forgot Password?" link. Click on this link and fill out the form. A new password will be emailed to you. Can I post an ad to sell my old bicycle or other bicycle-related items? No. Sale ads are available only to TBC Members. To submit an ad, use the Feedback Form. Where can I find maps of the Tulsa bicycle paths? You can find bicycle path maps at the INCOG website; http://www.incog.org/Transportation/trails.htm. |
